Hello and Welcome

We are Cta-74th Street DFCU, the home of 69th/74th Depot Federal Credit Union. We pride ourselves on great customer care and friendly service. We were established in 1937 and have a rich and great history of service to our members, whether they are Bus/Bus maintenance, Rail/Rail maintenance, G.O., we service CTA employees and their families. We have over 700 members and assets of over $9,000,000.00 and we are insured by the NCUA for asset deposits up to $250,000.00. We are one of only 3 CREDIT UNIONS IN ILLINOIS to own the building and grounds that we are located on.

Mission Statement

74th St. Depot FCU’s mission is to provide personal financial services of a superior quality to the members/owners; our chief concern being their financial well-being. We desire to be the primary financial institution for our members and their families. We will use automation and technology to support a highly trained group of volunteers and staff. Professional managers will be accountable for the quality of service and will be given sufficient flexibility in implementing policy to ensure that the member receives the highest degree of excellence in every contact. We will seek our growth both from new members and by serving the financial needs of present members in a more complete manner. We will not sacrifice the quality of present services to seek growth. In order to provide quality member services, the credit union must remain financially sound and secure. Adequate operating controls, capital reserves, and liquidity will be maintained at all times.

We support the use of traditional credit union philosophies of:

• Provide financial services of the highest quality to its members and their families

• Promote thrift among its members by providing an opportunity to accumulate their savings

• Create a source of credit at competitive rates for their use

• Provide these services in a professional manner

Among financial institutions, this credit union is a unique organization with deep and abiding human values. Our goal is to maintain those qualities.
